Yasuni National park

The Yasuni National Park is the largest continental protected area in Ecuador. Several indigenous Populations live inside the Park. The Yasuni hosts unique species of flora and fauna. The biodiversity is so high that the Park has broken world records in number of tree species, amphibians and bats in an area of 100m2, as well as mammals and birds.
The arrival to the National Park has to be organized with travel agencies, starting the trips in Francisco de Orellana (Coca). The possibilities are varied and include ships, luxury lodges, community lodges and the two scientific stations from the Catholic University and the San Francisco de Quito University, which allow touristic visits according to their availability.
